Weekend Report

We had a fairly quiet weekend, but it was rather nice except that I did go for a bath without Franklin and it was terrible. I did not like being left. I never did, but I like it even less now that there's another doggy in the pack. I tend to feel that I should not have to leave the house without him unless it happens to be for a walk with Alpha Mom which is OK. But there was some good news too. My leaves are back!

Exactly where I left them. Isn't it freaky?
Actually, my humans were expecting someone to come and take them away this weekend, but they never showed up. I swear I had nothing to do with it. Really. You believe me, right?

The weather was quite nice so we did some lounging around in the back taking in the sun.

Mr. Squirrel did WHAT? Are you serious? And what did Mrs. Squirrel say?
Well, I lounged. Franklin doesn't have much lounge in him when he's outside in cooler weather. He ran around and checked everything out in the yard and returned to tell me all the gossip. Then he'd be off again, in case anything new had happened in the last 30 seconds.

Our foster bass player and his nice young female friend let us take them for walkies today.  Blog Mom warned them that we were not exactly perfect on the leash. There were no serious injuries. Oh, the nice young lady did take one little fall when I pulled just when Franklin kind of ran under her. She was OK, really. Oh and they made the mistake of taking Franklin out with just a regular collar. He backed out of  it twice. He didn't run away or anything, though and they got it right back on him. We had a wonderful time. I'm sure they're looking forward to doing it again just as much as we are, don't you think?

  1. You look quite lovely after that trip to the spa. Too bad Franklin didn't come along too. We only have small trees in our yard so our leaves have all blown away. But Ciara loves to chase them on our walks - makes for some very sore shoulders for the Momster. Glad Franklin didn't run off when he ditched his collar. That is why Mom makes us wear the "choke" collars when we walk, she says we can't get out of them.

    Have a great week.

  3. It was rather nice here this weekend too! I'm hoping the cold weather stays away forever! I sure am sorry you had to go to the spa alone. I agree that wasn't very nice. Those fosters will get the hang of being taken for a walk soon. Good thing Franklin wasn't in the mood for some real training by making them chase him ;o)

  4. Hi, Lola!
Sounds like your spa time was not the best, right?
I agree with Oscar... more practice and they will master the walkie Lola and Franklin thing!

  5. I love that picture of you and Franklin together. Actually, it sounds like had a pretty exciting weekend (maybe not in a good way) - a bath, walk with new people, Franklin slipping out of his collar.

My weekend was quiet. Both parents had events this weekend so I had lots of naps. Mama is on vacation this coming week, yes!

Life with the two of you seems to be anything but boring. :-)

  14. Yay! Your leaves are back! Why would your moms want somebuddy to take them away just when they got back? That's the ker-aziest thing I ever heard!

That sounds like an awfully nice walkie. Plus I bets those humans needed a little extra adventure and excitement in their lives, don't you? And that's what we're here for!

PeeS. Your kittehs don't lick you? Hmmmmm...Cap'n Ripley is the only one who licks us and really, he only licks me. Brudder Ranger is always saying that Cap'n Ripley is tenderizing me. You don't think he's right, do you?

  18. Leaves are awesome...why would they want to take them away from you?? Hint, you can start bringing them in with you to make an inside stockpile...Dunc and I have been bringing leaves in the house, under the guise of they're caught on our fur, and making mini-leaf piles!! Muwhahahahahaha!

  25. Ozzie went for his bath yesterday. He detests going! He said that it wasn't too bad since there was a very nice standard Poodle named Sheba that was there for her grooming who Ozzie took a shine to! You and Franklin enjoy the leaves and the nice weather!

  26. Some people have to learn, don't they?

We love your leaf pile - can you believe Mom was never lived where leaves fall?

  27. BOL! You still have to train those poor humans.
And I love this cool weather too lately... I get frisky and do lots of running at the park!
Tho, sometimes mom sees me being lazy and she runs with me to get me excited. That's the best! But she tires out much too fast.
