Thanks from me, Lola

I want to thank everyone who came by, sent their well wishes and even sent new furiends to visit. It really lifts a girl's spirits to have so many supportive friends. I'm feeling quite well on the Rimadyl now. The only bad thing is that I do still need it to feel well and will probably have to do a second round of it and then go back to the Vet. But now I can go up and downstairs again, and get up on the furniture and even run around a bit, so I'm not complaining.

I was feeling like this.

But now I feel more like this. Better, right?
Our spirits were really lifted today when we learned that Hero is on the mend and healing at last. There could be no better news. Our tails are wagging right off our butts and not just the doggies. The humans are that happy, too. Hero may be a boy dog, but I still think of him as one of my BFF's. Keep on feeling better and better, dear friend. You're going to need all your strength for dealing with your baby sister when she arrives.

I guess I should say thanks to Franklin for stepping up here on the blog and also for allowing me to get rest and not bothering me too much when I was feeling especially bad. There'll be a little something extra in his doggy dish tonight. I'm also considering add him to my by-line on post and comments. What do you think? Is he ready? He'll have been with us for six months in a few days. It's beginning to seem quite permanent.

  3. Oh, Lola, Lola! This just made me wiggle all over! I am so very much glad you're feeling betters. I think your moms should give you a theme pawty just for that! Yippee!

And yes, I s'pose it might be time to go ahead and gives Franklin his own credits on your bloggie. Of course, you know it'll still be "Lola's bloggie" in my mind. But you don't have to tell him that.

  8. Lola, I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. I was so worried! Also, very good news about Hero. Franklin was very good about keeping us all up-to-date during your illness. What a nice brother!

  9. We're also most happy to read you are feeling better. Hope you're soon completely cured and back to your usual feisty self. We agree Franklin has earned a place as a junior partner on your blog. You won't have to change the name or anything, just maybe the subtitle. How much trouble can it be for your mom to add [in littler print] "by us, Lola and Frankin, two Chinese Shar Peis"? It will be restful to have a back-up, for those days a girl just doesn't feel like writing. We are also most happy to read the hopeful news from Hero. We'll keep our paws crossed for both of you.

  10. Such delightful news to hear that you're feeling much better now, Lola. My hoomans and I were really worried for you as we understand how your family would have felt and how awful to be sick with FSF. You are my bestest BFF for sure, Lola... and Franklin really showed us what a great brother he is, with a deserving space of his own. It's going to be hectic here with the arrival of a new family member... but rest assure we miss everyfurry the same and keep us updated on your recovery when possible. Take care my furiend and will be thinking of you always.

  17. I have been so busy that I haven't been sitting at the computer as much as I'd like so that means that I had no idea Lola wasn't feeling well! I am so glad that she is on the mend and is taking her medicine as directed! I never heard of a swollen hock syndrome either and I am glad the disease was stopped before it got any more serious!

As for Franklin, he was very concerned when you were not well and very good about keeping us posted, so perhaps he should play a greater role?

  29. Dear Dear Lola,
we are so so glad u are feeling better.U definitely look good in your picture.
We are sending heaps of wags n licks n love n hugs from all of us here. We will certainly keep you in our prayers n zen-wishes everyday so u get absolutely fit and fine soon.
Franklin, we are really very very sorry we missed your post about Lola's sickies.
we haven't been able to visit any of our friends much these last few days. With Daddy being away, mummy has been trying hard to juggle everything alone. And we tried to just keep posting at least, so you all know what we have been up to.
Thank Dog, Lola is feeling better.
And did very well, managing her bloggie for her.
We definitely will like to read your thoughts time and again, even after Lola resumes blogging.

  31. I'm so glad youre feeling better! I was worried about you. I'm really sorry I haven't been around much lately but I don't think it will get better very soon. I am curious about your friends you mentioned had the same kind of treatment as my grandma. We learned today that only about 50% of people succeed with this type of transplant and the aggressive Leukemia she has. I would love to know about others. Thanks so much for your friendship and concern for my grandma. It means a lot!
