Hi everybuddy. I expect that most of you know that Mona's Mommy and her friend are trying to save a poor little pittie girl who was probably used as BAIT! They were pretty sure that a shelter would see her as a lost cause and euthanize her so they're taking this on themselves. They named her Shelby and it's no sure thing that she's going to make it, but they're trying their best to get her the medical care she needs and give her a chance.
They didn't ask for any help, but some pawple asked them about sending some donations and we are certainly going to send something as soon as we can. And what I thought was if all of us sent something - even a very little - it would add up to quite a bit. And if we all blog about it, maybe word will get around and their expenses will be mostly covered or at least considerably defrayed. Mona's Mommy will send her address to you if you e-mail her about it. She can be reached through the address on Mona's profile. It's a wonderful thing they're doing and I just thought that a lot of us would probably like to help them do it.
YEA, I talked to Mona's mommy da other day, befores they went to da vet...her said da piktures don't accurately show da horriblness of Shelby.
ReplyDeleteI will send some monies to them also. This is a great idea.
Puddles
I'm going to round up some green papers and send them to Mona right away. And send up some prayers. I don't understand some two-leggers - the bait using variety - but other two-leggers like Mona's mom are so kind and admirable!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us informed, Lola!

Great idea, Lola! I will get right on this as soon as my mom gets home from work tonight!
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip

Hi Lola...somehow we missed yesterday's post about kittens. We came by very early then blogger started crazy not posting comments. Mom said we got all out of order with our blog reading.
ReplyDeleteMom says everything is better out of another person/pet's plate. Even if it is the exact food. So now the truth is out I see why Happy might be a little grumpy...you eat her food. How many times has she whacked you across the nose for that?
God bless Mona's mom....
Hugs Madi and Mom
Thank you sweetie for putting this up. I was going to do something about it tomorrow. I am sending some green papers. Sarah and Sandra would never ASK, butt they will BOTH appreciate some help. You are the best for putting out the request.
ReplyDeleteWe saw the pictures and Shelby certainly has a long road to recovery ahead of her! I'm sure she's going to need all the help she can get!
ReplyDeleteBunny
Oh Lola, momma is very leaky after reading about Shelby. Sometimes it makes her not like the human race so much. :( We're gonna keep following and supporting Mona's blog.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Stella Gunther and Betty
Sweet Lola - thank you ever so much for putting this up on your bloggie. Every time I thinks about poor Shelby, my heart breaks into a million tiny little pieces. I just so much want her to know that peoples can be kind and gentle - like our families. She deserves to have a happy life.
ReplyDeleteWe're sending some green papers, too. Like you said, maybe if we all send a little, that will add up to a lot.
I wish I could gives you a snuffle!
Wiggle & Wags,

Thanks for posting this; I think if we all even give just a little it will add up to a lot. It's great to know that so many people do see the value in helping poor Shelby.
ReplyDeleteWe will be sending you some green paper also to help Poor Shelby! We hope she will make a full recovery!

Hi Lola,
ReplyDeleteYes it is great we both have cats that came to us in the same way and we called them Happy. I had never heard of a Happy cat before!! Had you??
Poor Shelby!! We will pray for her and for the kind people that are trying to save her. I wish we could send some green papers but we don't have enough to take care of our own pet troubles. Our Bambi needs surgery and so does our Dad need surgery. We don't have a one to spare.
So happy we are friends!!
XXOO, Happy, Bambi & Fern
Thanks for letting us know, Lola. It was nice of you to spread the word.
ReplyDeleteThanks for da reminder, Lola.
ReplyDeleteI'm going over to Miss Mona's blog rights now and see ifs I can help.

We will follow up on this ASAP! We will ask if they have a PayPal account because then folks could just click, click, click and send money just like that!
ReplyDeleteMOL Lola,
ReplyDeleteMom and I think you are underappreciated by the felines in your life....if you ever get fed up with them...we'd love to have you in NC...except it is so dang hot you probably wouldn't stay long. We have a Pei in our neighborhood named Monkey!!
I hope Shelby is OK - this is a terrible story!
ReplyDeleteA PayPal account would be great!
ReplyDeleteI can't sent money by mail from here but I can do it with PayPal!
I will ask Mona's Mommy about it!
Take care
Kisses and hugs
